Changes and phenomena in the world of science and technology in today's civilized world require the backward and developing countries to strive to reform the field of education and improve the quality of education in their country, because education is one of the most important institutions in the development of the world counts. All scientific and technological achievements of mankind have their origin in the stable development of education, and knowledge and high scientific and technological intelligence of countries and peoples of the world is the guarantee of their happiness in modern world civilization.

The ATSMU is considered one of the most prestigious institutions of higher professional education of the Republic of Tajikistan and plays a key role in training highly qualified specialists in the field of health care, development of medical science and strengthening public health. The management and faculty and staff of the University are constantly striving to realize the goals of the State and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan towards quality education and to contribute to the development and strengthening of health sector. In order to fulfill instructions and directives of the Founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to improve and adapt educational programs, training course of international standards for faculty of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, providing quality and modern education with current development of modern technologies and methods recognized internationally determined. As a result of adapting educational programs to international educational standards, the educational system of the university has become modern, new methods of teaching and learning have been introduced. The university management takes additional measures to ensure quality education and pays more attention to the introduction of innovative teaching methods in the learning process. At the University, the process of training, assessment and evaluation of the quality of education is carried out in accordance with the requirements of international standards with the extensive use of modern information and communication technologies and the credit system of education. Avicenna Tajik State Medical University has carried out many useful works to improve the quality of education and its adaptation to the requirements of the labor market and international standards. Avicenna Tajik State Medical University fulfills its mission of providing medical and pharmaceutical education in accordance with national and international educational standards, training competent personnel to meet the requirements of the global labor market, assisting in the development of human resources and scientific potential of the country's health sector, using all opportunities. This sanctuary has become the pride of the Tajik people with its famous personnel, valuable traditions, specialized schools, educational, scientific, creative and therapeutic achievements. The University leadership, taking into account implementation of tasks set by the founder of national peace and unity - the Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in his message "On the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the republic" of 23.12.2022 to officials in the field of education and health, has developed the action plan for 2022 and is trying to implement it.
