A REGULAR ADMINISTRATION MEETING WAS HELD
Today, on December 25 of the current year, under the leadership of rector of SEI "Avicenna Tajik State Medical University", d.m.s., professor Gulzoda M.Q., a meeting of the University Administration was held. During the meeting the following issues were analyzed and discussed.
1. Report on scientific, innovative and publishing activity of the University in 2023;
2. Report on therapeutic, advisory and sponsorship activities in 2023;
3. Report on the activities of the educational, scientific and clinical center "Stomatology";
4. Report on the activities of the Department of International Relations.
Then the report of the vice-rector for science and innovations, d.m.s, professor Muhabbatzoda J.Q. was heard in connection with scientific, innovative and publishing activities of the university in 2023. It was emphasized that during the reporting period, the number of teaching staff of the university amounted to 889 people, of which 403 people have a degree. Meanwhile, the theme of "Twenty Years of Learning and Development of Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics" was also emphasized, and it was noted that 3 out of 7 research projects for 2023-2027 are dedicated to the development of exact sciences. In this context, it was said with satisfaction that in 2023, 2 students of the university won the second place in the categories of Chemistry and Biology in the national competition "Science-Enhancing Knowledge". In the reporting year, the university organized and held 2 high-level conferences with the participation of foreign representatives. Also the most notable achievements of the university for the reporting period are shown as follows:
1. The State Institution "Institute of Fundamental Medicine" of the University was proposed by direct order of the Great Leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon dated September 1, 2022 and established by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, May 29, 2023.
2. Since July 25, 2023, the review scientific-medical journal "Avicenna Bulletin " is indexed in the bibliographic and abstract database of scientific literature "Scopus", which is the first scientific-medical journal in the Central Asian region.
3. "National Patent Information Center" awarded the university was awarded with the V.I. Blinnikov Award.
In the report of the director of the diagnostic and treatment Center, candidate of medical sciences Nurzoda Z.M. Report on activities of the Center and diagnostic and treatment activities was provided, it was reported that this year 33 744 people applied to the Center for diagnosis and treatment, which is 1 908 more than last year.
Director of Educational and Clinical Center "Stomatology", candidate of medical sciences Odinaev I.S. summarized the results of the annual activity of the Center and emphasized that 28 dental devices, 10 computers, 2 printers, 1 visiograph, 2 electronic boards, 6 TV sets and 17 air conditioners were provided to facilitate the work of the Center with the support of the University management.
To date, students from 37 countries are studying at the University, about 2,820 foreign citizens have graduated from it, noted the head of the Department of International Relations, doctor of medical sciences J.S. Dodkhoev. At the same time, it was reported that from 2016 to 2023, the university signed agreements and contracts with 87 scientific and educational institutions abroad. In 2023 alone, 7 international projects contributing to the all-round development of the university are being implemented.
