A HEALTHY AND BETTER LIFE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VALUE OF EXISTENCE!

Health and safe life are valuable for every person. In order to protect this high value of citizens, the leadership of the State and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan are taking the necessary measures. This is confirmed by the fight against the spread of all kinds of diseases, including the human immunodeficiency virus, the protection of the rights of people infected with this virus and their access to free treatment. Human immunodeficiency virus belongs to the family of invasive viruses, genus lentiviruses. The name lentiviruses is based on the meaning of the Latin word Lente - slowness, which reflects one of the features of this group of viruses, including slow and uneven development of the infectious process in the macroorganism.

Human immunodeficiency virus is an infection that attacks the body's immune system, weakens the immune system and only grows in the body. The advanced stage of human immunodeficiency virus infection is acquired immunodeficiency disease. In order to combat the human immunodeficiency virus, specific measures are being taken by the international community and international organizations. The United Nations Joint Program to Combat Human Immunodeficiency Virus is one of the most important programs of resistance to this disease. The Republic of Tajikistan, as a member of the international community, has approved a number of important programs, decisions, laws and documents on the prevention, elimination and control of human immunodeficiency virus, which contributes to preventing the spread of this virus. It should be noted that the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan №171 of April 1, 2008 "On Approval of the Procedure of Medical Examination" for the detection of human immunodeficiency virus infection, record keeping, medical examination of Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection was approved, which regulates important relations in this area. Human immunodeficiency virus damages the immune system, destroys immune cells and weakens the body's system of control and defense against infections. Diagnosis and treatment of the human immunodeficiency virus are free of charge, and the identities of those infected are not disclosed. The human immunodeficiency virus is transmitted in various ways, including through the use of common needles and other devices that come into contact with the blood of an infected person, through unprotected sexual contact with an infected sexual partner, from an infected mother to her child during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. Human immunodeficiency virus is transmitted through blood and other body fluids, breast milk and similar routes. The emergence and widespread spread of human immunodeficiency virus is a serious problem in the world.

According to a report by the World Health Organization, more than 40 million people worldwide were living with human immunodeficiency virus at the end of 2022. In 2022, 630,000 people will die from human immunodeficiency virus-related causes and 1.3 million new cases of infection with the virus will be reported. The human immunodeficiency virus can contribute to infection and the onset of various diseases in the human body, including tuberculosis, cryptococcal meningitis, acute bacterial infections, hepatitis C and B, and cancer, especially lymphoma and Kaposi's sarcoma. Infection caused by the human immunodeficiency virus can be treated and prevented with antiretroviral therapy (ART).

In fact, everyone needs to be careful with the human immunodeficiency virus, to fight and prevent this virus, to go to specialized health care institutions and to contribute to the health of themselves and society. Every citizen must be responsible for the spread of these undesirable phenomena so that we can leave future generations a healthy society free of all kinds of diseases.
