November 14^th, 2023, the department of endocrinology, DDB ST Republic of Tajikistan with the support of GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) was held Health Asia on "World Diabetes Day" in Bokhtar.

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases formed due to disorders of sugar metabolism in the body. Every year the number of patients with this disease increases by 8-10 percent. In this disease, the hormone "insulin" is either not produced or does not function properly. Insulin is used to convert blood sugar and food into energy.

This action was held in three places: at the Hoji Sharif market, as well as at the Central Polyclinic named after Sh. Later it was realized. The population measured height, weight, body mass index with the help of questionnaire "FINDRISK" and then, if necessary, measured blood sugar level with the help of glucometer "Perfect".

         A seminar for families was held in the central sanatorium named after Sh. A seminar for family physicians was held. The seminar included discussions on diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

        After the seminar, all participants were given an Ideal glucometer.
