On April 18, 2023, the staff of the department, together with the doctors of the 7th children's somatic building of the State Institution "Istiqlol Medical Complex", held a clinical conference on the topic: "Principles of infusion therapy in pediatrics" at the chair of propaedeutics of children diseases of the State Educational Institution "ATSMU". The presentation was prepared by the head of the department "Mother and Child", doctor of the highest category R.Z. Shabonov, who highlighted in detail the main issues of infusion therapy in childhood. The presentation emphasized the objectives of infusion therapy, classification of infusion media, drawing up a daily program, infusion therapy regimens, qualitative composition of infusion therapy, daily need for electrolytes, monitoring of infusion therapy, routes of administration, indications and contraindications for peripheral and central vein catheterization. The main causes of dehydration syndrome, clinical manifestations depending on the severity, treatment tactics with a detailed description of the solutions used, as well as oral rehydration are described in detail.

In conclusion, a clinical case of a child aged 2 years 8 months with a diagnosis of Meningoencephalitis, cerebral edema with a detailed description of the tactics of infusion therapy is presented, after which a discussion was held.
