At the department of propaedeutics of children diseases of the SEI “ATSMU” on September 21, 2023, employees of the department, together with doctors of the children's somatic departments of the SI "Istiklol Medical Complex" held a clinical conference on the topic: "Ventricular septal defect in children." The presentation was prepared by assistant of the department Rakhmatullaeva M.A., who outlined in detail the prevalence of the disease, etiology, pathogenesis, risk factors, classification, clinical manifestations, diagnostic and differential diagnostic criteria, the main methods of treating congenital heart disease - ventricular septal defect in children. The main manifestations of hemodynamic disorders in children with VSD depending on the severity of the disease were noted and modern methods of conservative treatment of the disease and indications for surgical treatment of patients were presented. All questions posed were answered comprehensively. At the end of the presentation a discussion took place; the department staff presented the latest methods of early diagnosis and treatment of VSD in children.
