The Department of Science and Innovation (later the Division) is an independent division of the Avicenna Tajik  State Medical University.
The activities of the Department carried out on basis of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan: "On Education", "State Policy on Science and Technology", "On Scientific and Scientific - Technical Expertise", Legislative Acts of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Academy of Medical Sciences of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Consuetudinary law  "On Higher Educational Institution", orders, decisions and instructions of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, orders and instructions of the rector of Tajik State Medical University (TSMU) named after Abuali ibni Sino.
   The department is guided by the conduct of scientific and research works, the preparation of scientific potential, the activities of dissertational councils, inter-commission commissions and innovation at the university

STRUCTURE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION


Purpose and tasks of the Department

1. Development and implementation of grants, programs:
- management of organizational work for planning and implementation of research at the university;
- organization and holding of scientific conferences, seminars and forums for research, programs and scientific projects;
- the organization of registration of state projects, the proposal of scientific projects for carrying out extrusive research;
- introduction of cooperation with state and foreign scientific institutions in research and development areas, implementation of joint projects;
- development of fundamental research at the university;
- providing information on competitions, events, Olympiads, grants for research;
2. Preparation of highly qualified scientific, scientific and pedagogical staff:
- organization of a plan for admission and graduation to postgraduate study, doctoral studies and monitoring of its implementation;
- Creation of conditions and maintenance of informative nature of research of post-graduate students, competitors and doctoral students, and also carrying out of scientific actions at university and abroad;
- control over the performance of the duties of postgraduate students, applicants and doctoral students;
- Conducting attestation, examinations, a minimum of graduate students, applicants and doctoral students;
- provision of registration, storage and record keeping of personal cards and other documents of postgraduate students, applicants and doctoral students;
3. Realization of scientific works:
- control and coordination of activities of problem commissions, dissertational councils, inventors' society, a society of young scientists and students, report and definition of priority directions of all subdivisions of the Department;
- Coordination of research in the educational and curative activities of the University of Research, implementation of scientific achievements in educational and medical processes;
- collection and analysis of the research of the university, reporting on the scientific activities of the university, a report on the implementation of state programs for science, training of scientists, a report on the implementation of research in medical practice, a report on the activities of councils, commissions and units of the Department;
- preparation and implementation of plans, a development strategy for the scientific activity of the university;
- registration of scientific achievements of the university, conclusions of research, implementation of scientific achievements in medical practice;
- Improvement of scientific activity of students, support of talented and active students who are engaged in scientific work, the provision of worthy applicants for postgraduate studies from among graduates;
4. Publishing:
- Ensuring the publication of scientific research of scientists, young scientists and students in national and foreign research publications;
- analysis and correspondence of scientific articles to the requirements of journals, provision of reviewers with scientific articles;
5. Periodic conduct of inter-departmental problem commissions.
