In order to expand professional cooperation, Avicenna Tajik State Medical University hosted a delegation of leading cardiac surgeons from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (Islamic Republic of Iran).

During the meeting, the Rector of ATSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Muhiddin NuriddinDavlatali, and the representatives of the delegation discussed promising areas of collaboration in cardiac surgery, including personnel training, advanced professional development, and the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects.

As part of the visit, the guests toured various university facilities — the Simulation and Practical Skills Training Center, specialized laboratories, and clinical bases. The delegation highly appreciated the level of equipment and human resources at ATSMU, noting its potential for introducing innovative methods into medical practice.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness for further cooperation aimed at developing cardiac surgery and strengthening professional ties between the universities.
